The Butterfly Spring is located 27 kilometers north of Dali and situated at the foot of mount Shenmo, the first peak of Cangshan Mountain. The spring from Mt. Cangshan all flows into a square shaped pool. The pool is about 50 square meters and above it is a special tree¡ªan ancient decumbent tree.
